Scoped to you, not sold off a shelf
There are no prices on this page, and that's deliberate. A booking engine for a stargazing company and a diary for a salon aren't the same job, so a number here would be either meaningless or wrong. What follows is the shape of the work and how you'd get a real one.
Start here
The Audit
Before anything gets built. I go through your site, your booking flow, your tracking and your numbers, then hand back a written page showing exactly where you're losing people and what it's worth to fix. If we go ahead together, it's credited against the build.
One week
Book a call firstThe Launch
Usually four to six weeks
A website that looks like the business you actually run, loads fast on a phone, and can be found. Written, designed, built and shipped on your own domain.
- Copy written from a real conversation, not a questionnaire
- Designed and built from scratch, no template licence
- Search foundations: clean URLs, sitemap, structured data, redirects off the old site
- Google Analytics and Meta tracking wired and tested
- Contact and enquiry forms landing in your inbox
- You own the domain, the code and the accounts
Established businesses whose website is now the worst thing about them.
The Growth System
Six to ten weeks, then ongoing
The website, plus the machine behind it. Where the leads come from, what happens to them, and a number against every step so you can see which half of the spend is working.
- Everything in The Launch
- Landing pages built per campaign, not one page for everything
- Server-side conversion tracking that survives Safari and ad blockers
- Email capture, automated follow-up and a list you own
- Google and Meta ad accounts set up, or audited if they exist
- A dashboard showing spend, leads and cost per enquiry
Businesses ready to spend on ads and wanting to know what came back.
The Operating System
Scoped per business, built in phases
The software your business runs on. Bookings, payments, customers, staff, stock, reporting. Built for how you actually work, on your own infrastructure, replacing the monthly subscriptions you're renting today.
- Booking or ordering system with payment taken on your own site
- Customer records, history and notes in one place
- Staff-facing admin built for phones, not just desks
- Automated confirmations, reminders and follow-ups
- Your existing data migrated and reconciled before anything is switched off
- The subscriptions it replaces, cancelled
Operators paying monthly for software that still doesn't fit.
Care
Hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and a set amount of change work each month. Nobody's site should rot because the person who built it disappeared.
Ongoing, monthly
On money
You get a fixed number in writing before any work starts, split across a deposit and a payment per phase, so you always know what the next invoice is. I don’t bill by the hour, because being slow shouldn’t pay better than being quick. And you own everything at the end: the domain, the code, the Stripe account, the analytics and the list.
From first call to handover
- 01
A conversation
Half an hour, no charge, no deck. I ask what's actually costing you money and you tell me whether I'm any use. Plenty of the time the honest answer is that you don't need what I sell.
- 02
The audit
I go through what you've got and write up where you're losing people, what it's worth fixing and what I'd do first. You keep it whether or not you hire me.
- 03
Fixed price, in phases
You get a number before work starts, split across a deposit and a payment per phase. No hourly billing, so there's no reward for me being slow.
- 04
Built and handed over
You get the domain, the code, the Stripe account and the analytics in your own name. If you ever want someone else to take it on, nothing about that is difficult.
We won’t take every job
Who this is for
Owner-operated businesses doing something genuinely good, where the thing being sold is worth more people finding. Usually established, usually busy, usually held back by the parts of the business nobody enjoys rather than by the work itself.
Who it isn’t
Anything I’d be uncomfortable sending my own family to. Businesses looking for the cheapest possible site, or for someone to take instructions without asking questions. I take a small number of projects at a time and I’d rather turn work down than do it badly.
So the first step is a conversation
Half an hour, no charge, and it goes both ways. You work out whether I’m any use, I work out whether I can genuinely move the needle for you. If the answer is no, I’ll say so on the call.
The usual questions
I do. There's no account manager, no offshore team and nothing sitting in a queue behind eleven other jobs. You deal with the person building it, which is also why I take on a small number of projects at a time.
A Launch build runs about four to six weeks from the first conversation, and most of that is content. The bottleneck is almost never the code, it's getting the words, the photographs and the sign-off. Booking systems and back-office software take longer and get scoped properly first.
There are no prices on this site, deliberately. A booking system for a stargazing company and one for a salon are not the same job, so a number here would be either meaningless or wrong. You'll get an honest range on the first call, once I understand what you're actually trying to fix, and a fixed number in writing after the audit. No hourly billing, and no number invented before I've looked at anything.
No, and that's on purpose. I take a small number of projects at a time, and I want to be working with people building something genuinely worth growing. So the first conversation is as much about whether we're a fit as it is about scope. If we're not, I'll say so early and point you at someone better suited rather than take the work anyway.
Yes, all of it. The domain, the code, the Stripe account, the analytics, the email list. It's registered in your name, not mine. This matters more than people expect, and it's usually the thing that went wrong last time.
Often, yes, and it's some of the best work I do. Moana Skies came off a booking platform charging 3% of every seat. Hada came off one charging 20% of what a new client spends. The test is whether your data comes out cleanly and whether the thing you're renting is genuinely doing something hard.
It'll be built so it can. Clean URLs, a real sitemap, structured data, fast pages, and every old URL redirected to the right new one. What I won't do is promise you a position, because nobody honest can. Ranking is earned over months and mostly comes down to whether the site deserves it.
Yes, Google and Meta, and I'd rather run them against a site that converts than pour spend into one that doesn't. That's normally the argument for doing the build first.
Yes, and I'll come and sit in your business. Some of the most useful hours on a project are the ones spent watching how the front desk actually works.
Let’s find out if we’re a fit.
Half an hour on a call, no charge and no pitch deck. Tell me what you’re building and what’s in the way of more of it.
